Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Izzah (the "App"), made by Izza LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have tried to write it plainly. If you have questions, email admin@izzah.org.

1. Data that stays on your device

Most of Izzah works entirely on your device. We never receive:

• Your location. Prayer times and the Qibla direction are calculated on your device. Your location is not sent to us.
• Qur'an reading and listening progress, downloaded recitations, and listening time
• Daily verse, hadith, and athar history
• Masjid prayer tracking
• Reminders, notification times, and app preferences

If you delete the App, this data is deleted with it, and we cannot recover it for you.

2. Data stored in your account

Izzah requires an account. The following is stored in our cloud database so it can sync across your devices and be restored if you reinstall:

• Account information: your email address and password (passwords are handled by our authentication provider and never visible to us).
• Workouts: exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration, notes, and, when available, calories, distance, and heart rate readings and heart rate zones recorded during the workout.
• Workout templates you create.
• Habits and to-dos.
• Body weight entries.
• Profile: age, gender, height, and weight, which you enter to calculate heart rate zones and calories burned.
• Journal entries, which are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded. The key stays in your iCloud Keychain, so we cannot read your journal. If you lose access to your iCloud Keychain, we cannot recover your entries.

This data is linked to your account so that it can sync. We use it only to provide the App's features to you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers described in section 5.

3. Shared workout templates

If you share a workout template, a copy of it is stored so that anyone with the link who signs in to Izzah can view and import it. The copy includes the template's name, notes, exercises, sets, reps, and weights, your account ID, and your name as the sender. If your account has no name, the part of your email address before the @ is shown instead. Do not include anything in a shared template that you would not want others to see.

4. Analytics

Izzah uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used and to improve it. It records events such as opening the App, sessions, screens viewed, and signing up, in, or out, along with device and app information such as device model, operating system, app version, and approximate country or region. When you are signed in, these events are associated with your account ID.

We do not use analytics for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

5. Service providers

• Google Firebase provides account sign-in, our cloud database, and analytics. Data is processed on Google's servers, which may be located outside your country.
• Qur'an content providers. Qur'an text, translations, and recitations are loaded from Quran.com, AlQuran.cloud, and mp3quran.net. These services receive standard request information such as your IP address, but we do not send them any of your personal data.

6. Apple Health

With your permission, Izzah reads health data from Apple Health, such as heart rate and step count, and saves your workouts to Apple Health. Heart rate readings recorded during a workout are saved with that workout and synced to your account as described in section 2. Step counts and other Health data stay on your device. Health data is never used for advertising or analytics and is never sold or shared.

7. Security

All data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit, and access to your account data is restricted. Journal entries are additionally encrypted on your device. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Your choices and rights

• Delete your account at any time from within the App. This permanently deletes your account, the data stored in it, templates you have shared, and the data on your device. If a shared template remains after you delete your account, email us and we will remove it.
• Revoke permissions for location, Apple Health, and notifications at any time in your device's Settings.
• Request a copy of your data, or ask us any question about it, by emailing admin@izzah.org.

9. Children's privacy

Izzah is designed for Muslim youth and young adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it and close the account.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know in the App.
